Blend All Day specialty coffee, freshly roasted. Blending coffee is done for several reasons. Probably, the goal is to make a coffee with a better quality per cup than any of the ingredients individually. Coffee should be able to be consumed from a single origin, it should have a clear good flavor. The body is the feeling of weight and thickness of coffee, caused by the percentage of soluble solids in the cup, including all the organic compounds that are extracted from coffee brewing. Aftertaste refers to residual, lingering sensations in the mouth after coffee has been consumed.
One reason might be to create a brand, or signature, blend that causes consumers to equate a particular coffee profile with a particular brand image; Coffees are also blended, to achieve consistency, from crop to crop, year to year. This is what the big brands do, who do not want to be dependent on any particular single origin flavour. ‘Tasting notes’ is a term we use to describe coffee flavours that are intrinsic to a particular coffee from a particular origin.
